Our client has been a leading business systems solution provider for the Insurance Industry, providing software application development, cloud strategies, and end-to-end IT services.

About the role

The main focus of this role is providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to thei customers as well as participating in IT infrastructure projects. Your attitude, attention to detail, customer focus and communication skills are paramount for this role.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and optimise servers.
  • Find ways to do things better and automate day to day tasks. Work in a team to resolve incidents and requests from customers in a timely manner.
  • Manage maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to system alerts, prioritising and resolving incidents to restore service.
  • If called upon, jump in to help others out where required.

 

Skills & Experience Networking

  • Networking/infrastructure skills (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Experience with building, configuration and troubleshooting Cisco switches
  • Experience with Layer 2 and 3 HP and Cisco switches. Experience building and troubleshooting Cisco/Palo Alto firewalls Practical knowledge of DSL and wireless technologies. Understanding of NBN transition process.
  • Build, configure, troubleshoot Azure VPN gateways
  • Cisco certification a must

 

 

Cloud/Server/Virtualization

  • Build, configure, troubleshoot Azure tenant and VM’s Experience with Administration of Microsoft Windows Server 2008-2016
  • Experience with Administration of Exchange Servers 2007-2013 Administration of Windows Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of virtualization at an administration level, VMware, Hyper-V
  • Exposure to troubleshooting server and Windows domain environments.
